IV International Congress on Sustainable Development: Planning and Governance of Ultra-Peripheral Territories and Low-Density Regions

This international event took place between June 23rd and 25th 2022, at the Hotel Marina Atlântico, and was organized by the University of the Azores in cooperation with the WSB University (Poland), the Universidad de Extremadura (Spain), the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, the University of Madeira and the Fundación FISAT (Peru).

The congress analyzed the more recent challenges and dynamics of ultra-peripheral regions, emerging issues and the future sustainability of these territories, and many other fields of research that can influence regional sustainable development. It had the participation of 59 people (35 were foreigners’ speakers) and 58 communications were presented.
