António Almeida is an Associate Professor at the University of Madeira. His research interests focus on the field of tourism development, regional development, tourism economics and SIDS. Antonio Almeida received his PhD from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Prior to his PhD he got an undergraduate diploma in Economics and a master’s in Applied Economics from the University of Coimbra. He is experienced with consultancy projects and has teaching experience in the fields of economics and tourism.
