PhD in Tourism Management from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), with a joint doctorate at the Instituto Universitario de Investigaciones Turísticas (IUIT), University of Alicante, Spain (2020). Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Tourism from UFRN. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Law and Political, Economic and Social Sciences DiGSPES at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (UNIUPO) in Alessandria Italy, in the Laurea Magistrale course Organisations, Market and Behaviours: Organisations and institutions.
He worked as a Research Fellow at the Politecnico di Torino (2022-2023) in Torino, Italy. He was member of the Editorial Board of the international journal Tourism Management Perspectives, ranked 13th globally in Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality Management in the SCImago Journal Ranking. He is also a Collaborating Researcher at the Center for Applied Economic Studies of the Atlantic (CEEAplA) at the University of the Azores (UAc) in Ponta Delgada, Portugal. He worked as a Collaborating Researcher at the Universidad de Castilla La-Mancha (UCLM) in Ciudad Real Spain (2021-2022). He was an Editorial Member of the Journal of Contemporary Tourism (RTC – Qualis A4). He has been a professor in the Department of Tourism at the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), at SENAC-RN and has participated in projects for the Ministry of Tourism. He won the ICT4D Award: IFITT at ENTER2019 in Nicosia Cyprus (2019) with his thesis Analysis of Inter-Relations between Technology Adoption, Legitimacy and Reputation in the Market based on Institutional Theory. Her thematic areas are Sustainable Technology Adoption in Tourism; Marketing; Reputation; Behavior of Institutions and Organizations; and Tourism Management.
