Composition of the Bodies

João C. A. Teixeira has a PhD and a master’s in Finance from Lancaster University, in the United Kingdom, a master in Business Administration (MBA) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of the Azores.
He is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Business and Economics of the University of the Azores, currently serving as Dean of the School. At this School, he has already held the positions of Vice-President, director of the master’s in Economics and Business Sciences and director of the undergraduate degrees in Economics and in Management. Still at the University of the Azores, he has already performed the functions of Student Ombudsman.
He is an integrated member at CEEAplA – Center of Applied Economic Studies of the Atlantic. He develops his research in finance and economics. He has published several scientific articles in international journals, namely Review of Finance, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Economic Analysis and Policy, Applied Economics, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Banking Regulation, among others.
He was the President of the Special Monitoring Commission for the partial privatization of the Azores Airlines.
