Flávio Gomes Borges Tiago has been the Azores Government’s Regional Director of Science and Technology since May 2022. He is also a member of the Board of The Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre). Furthermore, he has been a professor at the University of the Azores since 2006.
Flávio holds a Ph.D. in Business and Economics Sciences from the University of the Azores and completed his aggregation at ISEG. He is an active researcher at ISEG’s ADVANCE center and CEEAplA. Additionally, he served as the Chairman of the Founding Board of Directors of NONAGON, the first Science and Technology Park in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. Moreover, he has promoted and participated in various studies and projects, resulting in publications in leading international journals.
