Composition of the Bodies

Celso Nunes is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Madeira University. He received his M.Sc. in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Minho in 1999, and his PhD in Economics from the Technical University of Lisbon in 2013.
Celso Nunes also serves or has held the position of CEO in private construction and financial and real estate investment companies, Economic Consultant at the Department of Economic Studies at the National Bank of Angola, Assistant at the Department of Management and Economics at the University of Madeira, and Senior Technical Statistician at the National Institute of Statistics in Lisbon.
His primary research interests are in economics of education, income distribution, poverty measurement, social economics, and tourism. He is a CEEAplA Collaborator and a CHAM Collaborator.
More recently, Celso Nunes has been co-authoring scientific articles in areas of interdisciplinarity between Economy, Education and Tourism.
Celso Nunes has been granted with several Research Awards, such as the participation in the Project NextLand, VCW Lab (funded under H2020-EU.3.5.5 with 550 000€), 2020-2023; Science and Technology Foundation, 2008 (FACC – FCT); Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, 2007, Grants for Participation in International Conferences; Science and Technology Foundation, 2007 (FACC – FCT).
