António Miguel Martins is an Assistant Professor with habilitation at the Faculty of Social Sciences in the University of Madeira (Portugal). Previously, he was twice director of the degree in Management at the University of Madeira and Coordinator of the Department of Management and Economics. He holds a PhD in Management awarded by the University of Porto, Portugal, and a Postdoc in Management from the University of Évora, Portugal. He is an integrated investigator of CEEAplA – Center of Applied Economic Studies of the Atlantic. The current research interests include crisis and disasters management, security and safety in tourism industry, performance measurement and management in hospitality and tourism, banking and real estate finance, asset pricing and event studies in finance and management.
