Composition of the Bodies

Maria da Graça Batista completed the Ph.D in Management in 2008, by Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão/Universidade Técnica de Lisboa; the Master in Management (MBA) in 2001, by Faculdade de Economia/Universidade Nova de Lisboa; and the Degree in Administration and Management in 1997, by Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisboa).
She is an Assistant Professor in Universidade dos Açores and a Member of the Fiscal Council of CIVISA – Centro de Informação e Vigilância Sismovulcânica dos Açores as a representative of the Universidade dos Açores. She also represents the Universidade dos Açores, as an effective member, in the Azorean Economic and Social Council (CESA), and on the Professional Council of the Ordem dos Economistas.
She is a member of the Management Department of the School of Business and Economics of the Universidade dos Açores, an Integrated Researcher of CEEAplA – Centro de Estudos de Economia Aplicada do Atlântico (FCT and DRCT Research Centre) and a member of the School of Business and Economics Scientific Council.
She published 24 articles in journals and has 18 sections of books and 2 books. She co-organized 4 scientific events and participated in 48 events. She co-supervised 1 PhD thesis and is co-supervising another 7. She supervised 21 MSc dissertations and co-supervised 44. She has received 2 outstanding paper awards and 2 other honors. She participated as a researcher in 3 R&D projects. She mainly works in Management and Tourism.
