David Ross is a lecturer in Tourism at the School of Business and Economics of the University of the Azores, Portugal. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of Hull (UK) and a BA in Anthropology Applied to Development (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, PT).
Before joining the University of the Azores in 2020, he developed postdoctoral research at the University of Exeter (UK). David has also undertaken research fellowships at the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (University of Lisbon) and Universidade Lusíada of Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal.
His current research interests focus on cultural heritage management, cultural and creative tourism, destination management, tourist experience, and digital innovation in heritage tourism.
