José Cabral Vieira holds a Ph.D. in Economics by the University of Amsterdam, and he is a Full professor at the University of the Azores.
His interests are Tourism Economics and Labor Economics. He has published in journals as Tourism Economics, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Tourism Geographies, Ocean and Coastal Management, Journal for Nature Conservation, Applied Economics, Empirical Economics, Economics Letters and Labour Economics, among others. He is also member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Tourism Economics.
