António Menezes has a BS in Economics from Nova School of Business Economics (Lisbon, Portugal), a MS and a PhD in Economics from Boston College (Boston, USA) and has taught and researched at the University of the Azores (Ponta Delgada, Portugal), Boston College (Boston, USA), Harvard University (Cambridge, USA), and Bocconi University (Milan, Italy).
António Menezes is a Research Affiliate with Fondazione Rodolfo Debenedetti, Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) and a Founding Member of CEEAPLA, at the University of the Azores.
He has published and been cited in several peer-reviewed scientific journals in the fields of applied economics, finance, and transportation, and serves on the board of several scientific journals.
António Menezes has held numerous executive and non-executive positions in non-academic organizations, including, inter alia, Chairman and CEO of SATA Airlines SGPS, Member of the Board of Directors of TAP Air Portugal SGPS, Member of the Board of Directors of Nieuport Aviation Infrastructure Partners, owned by JP Morgan Asset Management Infrastructure Investment Fund, and has consulted in economics and aviation strategy for numerous private and public entities, including institutional and sovereign funds.
