II Lusophone Conference on Organizational Behavior and Management
Governance, Ethics and Welfare in the Lusophone Space

2. Presentation
One of the organizations’ main concerns is to assure the support to their co-workers
regarding rules, processes and behaviors through which are entwined their interests,
managing resources and power is given to the organization. Thus, governance assumes
an important role for ethical behavior for and within the organization. In this sense,
acting ethically has as a main purpose to enhance the organization’s good performance
and a better use of the available resources.
We challenge you to send us your paper proposals focused on governance, ethics and
its direct and indirect influence on management and well-being of the organizations’
co-workers. It will be privileged proposals regarding Portuguese speaking countries
contexts though are also accepted proposals focused on any of the traditional fields of
organizational behavior and management. We aim to gather both academics and
practitioners to discuss ideas, experiences and knowledge in order to deepen the
understanding of management within Portuguese speaking countries, stimulating
research and development of topics related to organizational behavior and
management.
We hope to see you in this event and count with your collaboration for the
understanding of organizational behavior and management in Portuguese speaking
countries contexts.
3. Objectives
We aim to gather both academics and practitioners to discuss ideas, experiences and
knowledge in order to deepen the understanding of management within Portuguese
speaking countries, stimulating research and development of topics related to
organizational behavior and management.
4. Working groups and topics
The event will be organized in working groups, according to its topics, with the purpose
of sharing knowledge and new scientific findings.
5. Paper submission
Authors can submit papers in Portuguese, English or French. It will be accepted full
papers or extended abstracts, where heterogeneity of theoretical and methodological
approaches is privileged (theoretical or empirical papers, methodologies qualitative
and quantitative...). Both complete papers and the extended abstracts shall not exceed
150 words and three to five keywords.
Manuscripts are up to 7000 words and extended abstracts should have between 1500
and 3000 words. It must be submitted in two different files, one with the title and
authors’ identification, and the second with the title and manuscript with no mention
to the authors.
Code style required is APA. Manuscripts are accepted in any field of organizational
behavior and management, including (but not limited to) strategy, leadership,
organizational culture, organizational change and development, power and control,
human resources management, international management, operations research,
marketing and consumer behavior, entrepreneurship, innovation, public
administration, service organizations management, ethics and social responsibility,
teaching, among others. Papers for the conference should be submitted by 31th
August 2016, in a digital format (word doc.) to jornadaslusofonas2016@uac.pt
Presentations will be organized by the members of the Organizing Committee
considering the affinity of topics. Each author will have around 15 minutes for
presentation, followed by a short period for discussion.
